Ministries



Bus Ministry

The goal of the Bus Ministry at CBC is to reach as many people as possible with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Every Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening, we pick up boys and girls, moms and dads, and anyone who would like to come hear about God and His Word.  Through this vital ministry, countless souls have been reached for the cause of Christ.  Please call 429-7777 if you need a ride to one of our services.

 



Music Ministry
 

There are many opportunities to serve the Lord in the Music Ministry at Central.  Our main focus is to bring honor to God, not to perform!  We are conservative in our music and abstain from CCM and any music that sounds like the world.  Our congregational singing is comprised mainly of traditonal hymns of the faith that are full of doctrine and truth.  The music sung by our choir and special groups is heart-warming and evangelistic.  Through all the music at CBC we strive to honor God, encourage and strengthen the saints, and prepare hearts for the preaching of God's Word.

 


Patch the Pirate Club

Ahoy Mates!  Boys and girls ages 4-12 will love this exciting mid-week program offered on Wednesday nights during the adult Bible study.  Sailors enjoy Christ-honoring music, a Bible lesson, storytime, crafts, and activities - all centered around a specific truth or principle from God's Word.  Children also learn the importance of spending time alone with God and His Word each day in their daily devotion books.  Our Patch Club sings monthly in "big church" on a special awards night where they earn award pins, certificates, and medals.  Come on board the Jolly Roger and set sail for the high seas with a life of adventure serving Christ.

4W Ladies Ministry

Women Working With Women (4W) is a unique ministry of Central Baptist Church.  Ladies give of their time and talents to brighten someone's day by sending birthday cards, anniversary greetings, and get well soon cards to people in our church family.  They also organize meals and serve food to families who have lost a loved one.  Their prayers and encouragement are a great blessing to the people of CBC. 

 

 

 

 




Kids for Jesus Church

Every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM, the children at Central meet together for their very own church service. These two services (K3-K5 and 1st-6th grade) include Bible preaching, music, puppets, visualized stories, memory verses, contests, and fun with a purpose.  Pastor Beadles and the staff of the KJ Church Ministry provide a Bible-based, well balanced program for our children.

 



Nursery

Many ladies in our church volunteer their time to work in this important ministry of Central Baptist Church.  All of our services at CBC provide children ages 0-3 years with a safe and loving environment in our church nursery.  Parents, you can rest assured that your children will be well cared for during any of our Sunday or Wednesday services.


Phoster Club

The Phoster Club is our ladies' soul-winning program that meets every Saturday morning at 9:00 AM.  The ladies enjoy a brief time of food and training before heading out into the city of Decatur to knock on doors, invite people to church, and lead souls to a saving knowledge of Christ. 


Soul-Winning/Visitation

Those who take part in the Visitation Ministry at CBC meet at 6:30 PM on Thursday evenings to visit shut-ins, knock on doors, and visit prospective church members.  This important ministry of Central provides opportunities to lead the unsaved to Christ and encourage believers. 






Youth for Christ

The teen years are wonderful and exciting days in a life.  Yet, there are many lurking dangers that can destroy a young life.  The Youth for Christ ministry of Central Baptist Church is designed to assist parents as they raise their young people for Christ.  Whether we are learning God's Word in our Sunday School class, having an exciting scavenger hunt activity, or giving out Gospel tracts on a missions trip to Mexico, Christ is the focus.  Teens, we invite you to visit and join with us as we become...YOUTH FOR CHRIST!
